Department for computer science and informatics

During the school year 1967/68. In 2010, the computer department was separated from the automation department, as a special new department at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo. In this way, the first steps towards the field of computer science were taken. The reform of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1971. classes are organized through work with four departments, among which is the Department of Informatics. As a transitional study, it was organized in 1973/74. school year, a special course in Computers at the Department of Management and Electronics (formerly Automation). The full study of informatics and computing began in 1974/75. school in the 3rd year after the common part of studies for all departments.
