What is the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo

Although this word (master) in English has multiple meanings (master, boss, owner, teacher, principal, manager, master craftsman, master artist), here it is of interest to use it widely to denote the holder of a second degree: between bachelor and doctor.

The curricula of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo, guided by the basic principles of the Bologna Process, will enable the holder of this degree to:

thoroughly knows the theoretical and scientific aspects of mathematics and other basic disciplines in order to be able to use this knowledge to interpret and describe complex engineering problems, or problems that require an interdisciplinary approach;

  • has a thorough knowledge of the theoretical and scientific aspects of engineering, both general and directly related to his profession, in order to be able to identify, formulate and solve (including the introduction of innovations) complex problems that require an interdisciplinary approach;

  • be able to design, plan, design and manage in the context of complex systems, processes and services;

  • be able to design and manage in the context of very complex experiments;

  • has the necessary knowledge of engineering management, and has a professional ethics;

  • be able to communicate successfully, in written and verbal form, using also one of the European languages.

The study programs of the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering are organized in four departments through four study programs:

  • Automation and electronics,
  • Electric power,
  • Computing and informatics,
  • Telecommunications.

After completing the study programs of the second cycle of studies, graduates receive the title:
Master's degree - Bachelor of Electrical Engineering,
Section for {designated one of the above sections}.
