Persons who completed their studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo in accordance with the regulations in force before the establishment of the Bologna education system and persons who completed their studies in accordance with regulations in force before the establishment of the Bologna education system at foreign higher education institutions nostrification at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo, that in accordance with the Rulebook on the equivalence of previously acquired academic titles, scientific and professional titles (number: 01-14-88-1 / 20 of 24.06.2020) may initiate the procedure of equivalence of previously acquired titles with a new title acquired in accordance with the Bologna system of studies.

In order to initiate the procedure of equivalence of a previously acquired academic title or scientific and professional title, interested candidates should undertake activities as follows:

1.Applying for equivalence

The equivalence procedure is initiated by submitting a request for equivalence. The equivalence request shall be accompanied by:

• a certified photocopy of the diploma of the acquired academic title, ie scientific and professional title or a certified photocopy of the decision on the procedure of nostrification of the diploma, the equivalence of which is required,
• original or certified photocopy of the official document issued by the faculty containing data on passed exams with grades, official title and duration of the study program, and enrollment conditions (certificate of transcript of passed exams),
• original or certified photocopy of birth certificate,
• original or certified photocopy of the document confirming that the applicant has changed his / her name and / or surname;
• proof of payment (copy of payment slip) of the fee for the costs of the equivalence procedure in the amount of 400.00 KM (four hundred convertible marks and 00/100).

The completed application for equivalence, with the above documents, is submitted to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo (Office 1-26).

2. Resolving equivalence requirements

The resolution of the request for equivalence is carried out by the Standing Commission for the implementation of the procedure of equivalence of previously acquired academic titles, scientific and professional titles with the new title. After establishing all the facts and circumstances, the commission submits a report with a proposal on equivalence. Based on the report of the commission, the Council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo makes an appropriate decision on equivalence. The deadline for resolving an individual application for the equivalence of a previously acquired academic title or scientific and professional title is 30 days, counting from the day of submission of a valid application. Notice of the decision of the application, with the decision on equivalence is delivered to the applicant by mail to his home address.

3. Applying for a certificate of equivalence

To issue a certificate of equivalence, it is necessary to submit:

request for issuance of a certificate; proof of payment of compensation for costs, issuance of a certificate of equivalence in the amount of 20.00 KM (twenty convertible marks and 00/100). The deadline for issuing the certificate of equivalence is no later than five days from the date of application.
