Educational goals:

Bachelor / Bachelor - Electrical Engineer, Department of Electrical Power Engineering:

can have a successful and productive engineering career with all the necessary competencies, is trained for teamwork and communication with associates of different professions, can make technically correct assessments of relevant technical problems in the field of electricity, which come to a more detailed analysis of a specific problem;
possesses knowledge, skills and competencies that enable continuing education and lifelong learning;
understands the principles of mathematical, natural sciences, basics of electrical engineering and basics of informatics;
has knowledge of basic principles of design, modeling and solving specific problems in the field of electricity;
is able to take special care of the environment;
is able to take into account energy efficiency and production of electricity from renewable sources;

Learning outcomes:

Upon completion of the first cycle of studies, the student has the following knowledge, skills and competencies:
application of knowledge in physical sciences, mathematics and basics of engineering to solve mid-level problems in the electricity sector;
designing and conducting medium-level experiments in the power industry, and analyzing and interpreting the results obtained by these experiments;
design of components, systems - especially electrical installations in the power industry and buildings, and equipment that is characteristic of the power industry;
efficient work in multiprofessional teams including technical experts with different backgrounds and orientations;
identifying and defining problems in the electricity sector and generating and solving problems of medium complexity;
basics of professional and ethical responsibility in the practical service of engineers in electric power of medium complexity;
effective spoken and written professional communication;
understanding the role and importance of electricity in society at all levels of its organization;
use of techniques, skills needed in modern engineering, including the basics of computing and programming in solving problems of medium-complex level in the power industry;
